A Tale of Two Books

As the author of more than 40 books, I can assure you that I still feel excited like a kid in a candy store each time one of my new books is released. This month, I’m experiencing a double dose of that excitement as two of my titles are becoming available at the same time.

At first glance, it would appear that these two new books have absolutely nothing in common. The Art of Learning and Self Development is my latest collaboration with Dr. Ray Hull and deals with the professional and practical elements of learning as a lifelong pursuit. Top of the Hill is the latest novel in my Homecoming Historical Series. It features a foreword by Don Green, head of The Napoleon Hill Foundation, and the story recounts the exploits of high school kids at a fictitious Napoleon Hill High School as they struggle to save their school and town from some bad characters. The kids use the 17 Success Principles that Napoleon Hill made famous in his books including his epic title Think and Grow Rich. So with these two new book releases, my readers can explore both how to learn and what they should be learning.

In our world today, we don’t become successful because of what we do as much as we succeed based on what we know. Since learning is the key to success and happiness, devoting a book to the concept of learning and how we can do it better just made sense to me.

The most successful people are lifelong learners, and all leaders are readers. The most successful leaders over the last 75 years have read Napoleon Hill’s book Think and Grow Rich more than any other. This holiday season, I hope you will take some time to expand your mind and your world through reading. www.JimStovallBooks.com. As you are planning your holiday giving, it’s important to remember that books are the best gift I know that can change someone’s life today and keep giving happiness, joy, and success long into the future. Whether you read or give my books is not as important as your commitment to becoming a lifelong learner and sharing the gift of knowledge and wisdom with others.

My late, great friend and publisher of several of my books, Charlie “Tremendous” Jones, was fond of saying, “You will be the same person you are today five years from now except for the people you meet and the books you read.” When you read The Art of Learning and Self Development, you will set a pattern for gaining knowledge and wisdom for the rest of your life, and as you read Top of the Hill, you will meet Napoleon Hill, one of the most influential authors and thinkers of all time.

As you go through your day today, give yourself and those you care about the gift of reading.

Today’s the day!
